Two days ago the Russian forces in the city of Kherson were ordered to withdraw across the Dnipro River. This operation started yesterday, Thursday. Ukrainians reported yesterday afternoon and evening that they had captured large areas.
Ukrainians are said to have sent artillery to the newly liberated areas. This allows them to focus heavy fire on the ferry moorings that the Russians must use to escape.
Ukrainian news agency Says EuromaidanPR that between 18,000 and 22,000 Russian soldiers are still on the “wrong” side of the river.

Information on Russian losses and problems is not confirmed by the Ukrainian authorities. The Ukrainian general staff reports Friday morning only the advance towards the city of Kherson continues.
