Report against Danny de Munk of rape: this has happened so far | NOW

Danny de Munk said he was not afraid of juice channels, but the actor will have been very disappointed with that statement in recent weeks. Thanks to Yvonne Coldeweijer’s juice channel, a ball has started to roll that (for the time being) ended with a report of rape against the actor and singer. De Munk denies that any of that is true. What happened?

If you have nothing to hide, you don’t have to worry about juice channels, De Munk told at the beginning of April Weekend. Yvonne Coldeweijer, who runs the popular channel LifeofYvonne, shares the actor’s quote and seems to agree. But she soon sees stories that, according to her, prove that De Munk must be wary.

On April 14, she accuses the actor in a video of drug use in the workplace and sexually transgressive behavior. The described incidents would have taken place around 2007, when De Munk can be seen in the musical Ciske de Rat.

The allegations are being continued: musical producer Stage Entertainment announces that it is starting an investigation. Despite that investigation, De Munk stands behind his words. He says he has nothing to fear, because it never happened.

“I categorically deny the allegations made in the video,” the singer said. He says the allegations hurt mainly because they affect his family. “My children are now receiving insults and serious curses. I think the MeToo accusation is terrible. I absolutely do not recognize myself in that.”

At that time, De Munk also said he was considering legal action. Coldeweijer’s video would have been created without adversity. In addition, the research that the YouTuber has done is not thorough.

Unlike for example Marco Borsato, the accusations do not seem to directly lead to a general boycott of the singer. SBS announces at the end of April that it will broadcast a new talent show in which De Munk will participate. In The Dutch New is looking for a new folk singer.

It then seems quiet for a while, until John van den Heuvel announces on Tuesday that the singer has been reported. A woman says she worked closely with De Munk in 2007 and 2008 for Ciske de Rat† During that period, she says she was forced to undergo sexual acts. The declaration was made two weeks ago, writes The Telegraph.

It is remarkable that De Munk was not aware of anything at that time. His lawyer Royce de Vries says in a response to NU.nl that his client has not been informed of the report by the police or judicial authorities. He also says that nothing is right. “He expressly disputes that he was ever guilty of sexually transgressive behaviour, let alone criminal offences.”

Coldeweijer emphasizes that this is a different story than the one she told earlier. “The girl from my video worked backstage ciske† The girl who has now reported rape also worked backstage at ciske† However, she is not the same girl as in my video. Because there were more.”

De Munk has not yet responded to the report. He is scheduled for a festival in Lelystad this weekend, but both the organization of the festival and the singer himself have not yet promised that this will take place. Talpa has informed NU.nl about the broadcasts of The Dutch New to continue.

RTL will, for the time being, draw a line through the collaboration with De Munk† He would be featured in the new series of I Can See Your Voice† “We have discussed it with Danny and agree that he will not participate in the program under these circumstances,” RTL said.
