Replace Alvin Tse, Wentao Zhao Appointed as Boss of Xiaomi Indonesia

Selular.ID – Xiaomi announced the appointment of Wentao Zhao as the new Country Director for Xiaomi Indonesia.

Wentao has fourteen years of experience in the smartphone industry and has lived in Indonesia for more than ten years.

Previously, Wentao was the Head of Offline Sales for Xiaomi Indonesia.

Wentao will continue his leadership at Xiaomi Indonesia after previously helping develop the global technology company’s business in the country with his predecessor, Alvin Tse.

Meanwhile, the previous Country Director of Xiaomi Indonesia, Alvin Tse, will later carry out new duties and responsibilities as General Manager, Xiaomi India.

During his tenure as Country Director of Xiaomi Indonesia, Alvin has brought Xiaomi as the #1 smartphone brand in the second quarter of 2021.

He has also consistently succeeded in bringing the flagship product line that Xiaomi Indonesian fans have always been waiting for, starting from the Mi 10, Mi 10T, Mi 11, Mi 11 Ultra, Xiaomi 11T series and finally the Xiaomi 12 series.

Alvin also helps expand Xiaomi Indonesia’s new retail network, which to date has reached more than 400+ Xiaomi Stores and Xiaomi Shops as well as more than 4,000 partners.
