Get IDR 401 Trillion, Pertamina Ensures Pertalite and LPG Don’t Increase

KOMPAS.com – President Director Pertamina Nicke Widyawati said that the addition of the subsidy allocation in the 2022 State Budget ensures that the price of Pertalitesubsidized diesel, and three kilograms of LPG did not increase.

“In the midst of the severe challenge of a very high spike in world crude oil prices, the government has chosen a pro-people policy by increasing the allocation of fuel and LPG subsidies so that prices are more stable and people’s purchasing power is maintained,” he said. Between, Saturday (4/6/2022).

“This is a form of the state being present to protect its people,” added Nicke Widyawati.

The government through the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) has proposed additional subsidies to support Pertamina’s efforts in the supply and distribution of subsidized fuel and LPG which are very much needed by the poor, middle class, vulnerable, and MSMEs.

Previously, the budget for fuel and LPG subsidies was only Rp. 77.5 trillion and fuel compensation was Rp. 18.5 trillion in 2022.

The government then added a subsidy of Rp. 71.8 trillion and compensation for fuel of Rp. 234 trillion or to Rp. 401.8 trillion in 2022 (assuming the price of Indonesian crude oil is 100 US dollars per barrel).

Nicke Widyawati appreciated the government’s support in the supply and distribution of fuel and LPG by increasing the allocation of subsidies in the 2022 State Budget.

He emphasized that Pertamina will make maximum efforts so that the subsidies allocated by the government for fuel and LPG in the 2022 State Budget can be utilized more optimally for people who need it and in accordance with the quota that has been set.

“We will ensure that supply is sufficient and supervision continues to be improved so that the allocation of fuel and LPG subsidies is right on target,” concluded Nicke Widyawati.
