René van Kooten will star in the new version of the musical next year Shrek to play.
The fifty-year-old actor is looking forward to the role. “It’s different from the roles I’ve played before and I think it would be great fun to target the family audience this time.”
Shrek de Musical was first seen on Broadway in 2008. After that, the performance was also shown in other countries.
In the Netherlands, the musical was shown in theaters in 2012 and 2013. William Spaaij took on the role of Shrek at the time and Kim-Lian van der Meij took on the role of Princess Fiona.
The new version of Shrek can be seen in theaters in the Netherlands and Belgium between September 2024 and June 2025.
