When the Sala della Protomoteca in Campidoglio, which houses Raffaella Carr’s funeral home, reopens its doors – at 5.30 pm, half an hour early because the line was already too long, explain the traffic police of Roma Capitale – the tears become irrepressible. Everyone has a thought, bouquets of flowers (strictly yellow, their favorite color), letters, signs, rainbow flags and gifts. With her goes a piece of the history of Italy and of each of us, the admirers repeat. Tireless, before entering for the last farewell to the national Raffa, after yesterday’s funeral procession and the commotion in front of the Rai offices. Since yesterday afternoon, many have wanted to greet Raffaella in the funeral parlor set up in the Protomoteca.
