When I woke up in Mumbai in the morning, the news I heard was that Gangetan had passed away. The relationship started from the movie ‘Ahimsa’. There are many stories. Ranging from movies to my marriage. The whole country is PVG. Even when he was called, I always called him Gangetan. I can still remember the reward for acting in the movie Amhisa.
It was a time when there was a lot of shooting in Kozhikode. When I saw Kozhikode as my second home. Whenever there is shooting, I go to Gangetan’s house. His father P.V. Sami and elder brother P.V. It is on those occasions that it is so close to the moon.
I met many great people in that house called Kerala Kala; met One of them is the famous painter M.F. It was Hussain. I still have the picture he drew there that day. When my marriage with Suchitra was fixed, Suchitra’s father, Balaji, asked Gangetan everything about me. His good words became my life.
Acted in many films in the making of Gangetan. We traveled a lot together. Three years ago I got PV. Gangetan called announcing Sami award. Come to Kozhikode and buy. In the last few days, the whole country came to a standstill due to the spread of Covid. After the closures, when the world opened up, I could no longer control my trips for shooting. It stretched from Kochi to Morocco. It was not possible to come to Kozhikode and receive the award peacefully. Saying goodbye to Gangetan with that pain. All the memories together are kept inside.
