ALBUQUERQUE / OSLO (VG) With lit candles and a minute of silence, several hundred attending film photographer Halyna Hutchins (42) commemorates Sunday night Norwegian time.

The case is being updated.
Hutchins lost his life on Thursday during the filming of the western movie “Rust”. She was shot by movie star Alec Baldwin, who thought the weapon was not charged.
– Halyna inspired us all with her passion. Her legacy is too meaningful to sum up in words, writes her husband, Matt Hutchins, in words of remembrance read out by the head of the International Film Photography Association, John Lindley, during the memorial service.
Her husband was not allowed to show up himself, he explains to hundreds of people present.
– I have a clear picture that she was a mother, wife and a skilled film photographer. She was loved, talented, respected and loving. And she was also passionate about her work, says Lindley.
– Could have been me
An accident like this is dramatic in an industry where everyone knows everyone, says costume designer Amy Violette to VG. She has worked on several productions at Bonanza Creek Ranch, where Hutchins lost her life.
– I came here today to give support to friends who knew her. This could be any of us. It could have been me, says Violette to VG. Her friends have reacted with shock and disbelief to the death, she says.
– It’s an unnecessary death.
