Remember! Use of petroleum products (BBM extension) The types RON 80, i.e. Premium and RON 89, i.e. Revvo 89, may no longer be marketed in Indonesia as of 1 January 2023.
This policy is contained in the Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Number 245.K/MG.01/MEM.M/2022 concerning the Basic Price Formulas for the Calculation of the Retail Sale Prices of the Types BBM extension General types of BBM and diesel distributed through service stations and/or fishermen’s filling stations.
“As of 2023, only RON 90 and above can circulate. The point is, below RON 87, 88, 89 can no longer circulate,” said Saleh Abdurrahman, a committee member of the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency ( BPH Migas) a detik comwritten on Tuesday (27/12/2022).
Both types of fuel are banned because they are low-octane and considered unecological. RON 88 or Premium, previously sold by PT Pertamina (Persero) itself, is no longer distributed in service stations this year.
“Premium will no longer be distributed at gas stations in 2022,” said PT Pertamina Patra Niaga corporate secretary Irto Ginting.
Finally, only VIVO gas stations still sell RON 89 fuel under the Revvo 89 name. PT Vivo Energy Indonesia said it will run out of stock until the end of 2022.
“To comply with government policies, PT Vivo Energy Indonesia has taken the necessary steps to complete our stock of Revvo 89 by the end of this year,” management wrote.
Not until the end of the year to be precise, starting November 2022, Revvo 89 BBM started disappearing from the price list of VIVO gas stations. At the Gas Station Totem now only shows the prices of Revvo 95, Revvo 92 and Revvo 90.
“There is no (Revvo 89), there is Revvo 90,” said the VIVO gas station officer on Jl. Captain Tendean, South Jakarta.
