Remedy and 505 Games working on Control Sequel for PS5, Xbox Series X and S and PC – Gaming – News

Remedy Entertainment has officially confirmed that Control 2 is in development. The Finnish game studio is making this sequel together with 505 Games. The game will be available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X and S. No release date has been announced yet.

Entertainment remedy let us know with a press release that the company has signed a cooperation agreement with the Italian game publisher 505 Games. The two companies will develop and publish Control 2 together. Remedy retains ownership of the intellectual property related to the Control franchise. Remedy and 505 Games also collaborated on the development of the first game in the series.

The title will again be built with the Northlight engine developed by Remedy, confirms the studio. Remedy is publishing the game for PC; 505 Games will be the publisher of the console versions. Control 2 is currently still in a conceptual stage. The developer shares concept art for the game, but doesn’t share any concrete details. For example, there is no word yet on when the game will be released.

Control 2 was previously known under the working title Heron, referred to as Remedy previously confirmed its arrival. It will be a “full sequel” to 2019’s Control, the studio says. Remedy has an initial budget of €50 million for the title. The studio is also currently working on a title codenamed Condor. It will be a multiplayer spin-off of Control, where four players can fight against enemies together. No release date has yet been announced for that title. Remedy is also working on Alan Wake 2; that game should be released in 2023.
