An announcement related to Crysis seems to be starting, because after a break of several years the official Twitter account came back with the words “Receiving Data”. It is unclear which “data will be received”. The official Xbox account, pregnant with meaning, replied that this was not an exercise: “This is not a drill!”

It has been speculated for some time about a remaster or a remake of Crysis from 2007 – or maybe even a successor (Crysis 4) is meant. Crytek keeps loud according to their own Information the rights to Crysis, Crysis Warhead, Crysis Wars, Crysis Warzone and World in Crysis. At that time the publisher was Electronic Arts. In line with April 1st, a kind of “teaser website” was opened crysis.com started, however the term “April Fool” was in the HTML text.
