Relatives of Daniel Osorno Márquez, known in the underworld as ‘Pupileto’, they removed the body of the delinquent of Legal Medicine, to carry out the funeral honors, after the death of the young man in the Barranquilla prison.
The body had been found hanging with a sheet tied around his neck, inside the prison chapel, where he remained isolated. when detected positive for COVID-19.
After Osorno’s death, Hernan Varon family lawyer announced that the young man was a victim of mistreatment in the El Bosque prison, which could have led to his death. The lawyer stated that, before his death, Osorno was isolated in a dungeon where he was allegedly subjected to mistreatment.

On the other hand, the lawyer indicated that ‘Pupileto’ was discriminated against, due to his sexual orientation, and he would have even been sexually abused in the detention center.
Additionally, according to information from Inpec, Osorno was a COVID-19 patient, before which, lawyer Hernán Varón stated that the family is distressed, since the procedure for this pathology consists of cremation.

To its turn, Wilson Castañeda, lawyer and member of the Caribe Afirmativo collective, He assured that after the death of Daniel Osorno, he demanded the development of an investigation to determine if the young man was a victim of sexual violence, torture and discriminatory treatment within the prison center.
The relatives expressed their wish that these events be clarified and they are awaiting a pronouncement from the authorities.
They hope that once the Legal Medicine autopsy report is known, they will have more responses from the true causes of his death.
