It’s still quiet on the Schaumburg soccer fields, but things are going round on the console again. The Schaumburger Nachrichten and Sparkasse Schaumburg will host the second edition of the Sparkasse E-Football Masters from February 11th to March 11th.

After the first attempt last year was a great success, three tournaments are planned for this year. In addition to an adult tournament for all players aged 18 and over, two further competitions are planned for young people. In one, everyone between the ages of ten and 13 compete against each other. In the other, 14 to 17-year-olds gamble for prizes. The game “FIFA 22” is played in PlayStation4 mode. That means it can be played on both PS4 and PlayStation 5.

Opponents compete against each other in 1v1 online friendly match mode. Each participant therefore needs a Playstation Plus membership and the opportunity to meet the drawn opponent from home in order to play the games.
The form of the tournament depends on the number of registrations, a preliminary round, an intermediate round and a final round in the form of a final day are planned.

The tournament is again organized via a Discord server, where results are reported, player names are exchanged and organizational matters are discussed. Goals can also be reported there, because the “dream goal of the week” is searched for every week and awarded a prize.

The winner of the U13 tournament will receive 100 euros in PlayStation credit. Second place can look forward to a credit of 50 euros, third and fourth place to 25 euros each. The best players in the other two tournaments will receive vouchers from the Electronics Market Expert. The winners receive 300 euros, second place 200 euros, third place 100 euros and fourth place 50 euros. Anyone who lives in Schaumburg and is a member of one of the local sports clubs can take part.
