Maurice Labeaume died of cancer at the age of 86.
Last October, the mayor had spoken of his father’s difficult state of health, to justify several absences during announcements and evenings of city council.
“Almost nine months, it should not exceed three. He fought like crazy. With a lost hope, that of healing. Dirty cancer. We’ve been fed up for a couple of years, ”writes Régis Labeaume in a multi-line poem on Facebook.
