As it was 20 years ago: Zweckverband is contributing 600,000 euros for the planning of the Littenweiler tram extension.
The Zweckverband Regio-Nahverkehr Freiburg (ZRF) will help finance the new planning for the extension of tram line 1 in the Littenweiler district. The association assembly now agreed to take on 600,000 euros and thus 60 percent of the costs. The ZRF had already spent a similar amount for the same planning – 15 years ago.
As early as 2002, the Zweckverband, in which Freiburg wants to promote local transport together with the neighboring districts of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald and Emmendingen, signed a planning contract with the city for the expansion of the tram route and promised EUR 620,000 as a cost share. At the end of 2006, 15 years ago, the developed development plan was available. But it was never implemented because the hope for timely state grants …
