The health authority confirmed this Monday two people died of Covid-19 in the Coquimbo region, reaching a total of 100 deaths in the middle of the pandemic.
The Minister of Health, Alejandro García, explained that it is a patient from La Serena and one from Salamanca.
On the other hand, 101 new infections were confirmed, bringing the total number of accumulated cases to 8,314 and, of them, 1,235 remain active.
These correspond to the communes of Coquimbo (37), La Serena (21), Ovalle (19), Monte Patria (08), Punitaqui (06), Los Vilos (04) Andacollo (02), La Higuera (01), Vicuña (01) and Canela ( 01). In addition, a new patient corresponding to another region of the country is reported.
