Red flag for the country, says the new mayor after a 6-year-old boy shot his teacher

US school shooting incidents are on the rise. It is still very rare for the shooter to be as young as the boy in Virginia on Friday.

It was Friday afternoon at Richneck Elementary School in Newport News. A group of first graders had had time to read and were about to start drawing. Then one boy took a gun out of his bag and pointed it at the teacher.

A classmate described the shooting to her mother as being so strong she felt she could not breathe.
