For the second American race of the season, Red Bull will display a slightly different livery than the one the RB19 usually wears. So, like in Miami in May, and like in Las Vegas next month, Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez will have American colors in Austin this weekend for the United States Grand Prix.

We find the stylized Texas flag with American stars on the rear of the sidepods and the rear of the engine cover. On the sides of the rear wing, we find the Texas flag, while the fresco started on the engine cover continues towards the front.

Around the cockpit, the star is present in blue, while on the side fins of the front wing, we also find these patterns reminiscent of the ‘Lone Star State’, the other name of the state of Texas. It was a Red Bull fan, Franco Cavallone, who made this design chosen by the team.

Highlight “Texan culture”

As in Miami, the livery is slightly different but the modified areas are quite discreet, with a strong presence of Red Bull colors. We imagine that in Las Vegas, Red Bull could give a little more space to its special colors.

“It’s truly exciting to see this unique, fan-driven competition come to life and coincide with the growth of Formula 1 and our fans in the United States, and to invite our fans from around the world into the team and in our garage to design the livery we race with,” said Red Bull boss Christian Horner.

“I think Franco did a great job and the car looks amazing, showcasing the Texas colors and culture. It’s not every day we come out with a unique livery, so this is even more special that it was designed by our fans.”

“Our thirst for victory continues, and let’s hope this livery is as winning as Martina’s in Miami, which saw Max and Checo finish on the top two steps of the podium. I can’t wait to see what our fans come up with for the last race in the United States, in Las Vegas.”

A decoration designed by a graphic designer

Franco Cavallone, the winner of the competition, is a graphic designer in life and is very happy with this success: “The moment when I was told that I had won was a rollercoaster of emotions, I was so happy.”

“I remember when I discovered Make Your Mark, I was watching the second practice session for the Miami GP – it was the first time I had attended a race – and I discovered that the Oracle livery Red Bull Racing was designed by an Argentinian fan, like me.”

“Back at the hotel, I researched the competition, signed up and started designing my livery for Austin right then and there. I thought about Austin and the Circuit of the Americas and I was inspired by the stripes and stars, as well as the red, white and blue lines that surround the turns of the track.”

“I even asked Martina, who won the competition in Miami, for advice. I’m a freelance graphic designer and this is definitely the most exciting thing I’ve ever designed! It’s like a dream that this is happening to me , seeing my design on the car will be the best day of my life, I can’t wait to see it on the track.”
