Handball In the first week of spring vacation, the “Winti Kids” association is holding its traditional event. The popular handball camp takes place in the Eulachhallen. With the record number of participants of 190 handball enthusiastic kids, it is fully booked. Handball greats from Pfadi Winterthur and Yellow Winterthur visit the kids throughout the camp week.

While the playoffs of National League A (semi-finals from Thursday, May 11) are suspended due to the national team week (week 17) and the cup final week (week 18), the 2022/23 handball season in the other leagues is entering the home straight.
Opportunities for advancement maintained
The SG Seen Tigers / Pfadi – coached by former NLA circle runner Matias Kasapidis – maintained their chances of promotion to the first division on the last day of the game by securing 3rd place. The U17s and U19s of the Pfadi Winterthur elite have qualified for the playoff finals in their age category and will meet their peers from SG Pilatus. As leaders after the main round, they enjoy home advantage and can play the all-important second leg in the battle for the Swiss championship title on Saturday, May 20, at 4:00 p.m. (U19) and 6:30 p.m. (U17) in the local Axa Arena. The U19 elite is also fighting the same opponent in Gümligen 14 days earlier for the cup victory (8.15 p.m.) and is thus aiming for a double title defense. The NLB team, which is run as a training vessel, is also causing a sensation and has all won the last three games.
Established in the league
With eleven victories, the team continues to establish itself in the midfield of the second highest league, with the chance of climbing up to at least fifth place. lw/rb
