Join author Ryan Lee Wong for a conversation on reclaiming Asian America’s political roots, finding liberation through Asian Buddhist practices, and bringing the nuance, humanness, and complexity of this work alive through writing. Ryan Lee Wong is author of the novel Which Side Are You Ona finalist for the PEN/Hemingway Award for Debut Novel. He has organized exhibitions on the Asian American movements of the 1970s and written criticism and essays on the intersections of art, race, and social movements. He holds an MFA in Fiction from Rutgers-Newark and served on the Board of the Jerome Foundation. He lived for two years at Ancestral Heart Temple and is the Administrative Director of Brooklyn Zen Center.
