Although they anxiously avoided this promotional material, a comparison with their Donkey Kong Country is inevitable. Instead of monkeys, you play as a chameleon with a bat, but otherwise everything remains why the cult model is remembered for almost 30 years since its release. So colorful cute graphics, nice heroes and lots of well-designed levels. Due to the appropriately set difficulty, both nostalgically reminiscent boomers and younger players can enjoy the game.
You can download Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair in the Epic store (link) by 10 February, after which this offer will be replaced by another. By the way, if you pick up games from Epic regularly, you should already have a previous episode in the library called simply Yooka-Laylee. But unlike this, it was still in 3D.
