Chairman of the NasDem Party Surya Paloh explains the reasons for never accompanying presidential candidate number 1 Anies Baswedan while campaigning.
Paloh admitted that he had many scheduled activities in the last few days.
“Yes, coincidentally, I just came from abroad, there are several things I did. It’s a 21 day trip, so I think it’s actually quite busy for someone my age,” he said, at the Bali NasDem DPW Office, Denpasar, Tuesday (23/ 1).
However, Paloh ensured that support would still be given to Anies, who was promoted by NasDem as a participant in the 2024 presidential election.
He said that physically he couldn’t always be with Anies. However, Paloh emphasized that support cannot only be seen from that alone.
“Not physically, but you see what I say everywhere,” he said.
Regarding the chances of the 2024 presidential election running in two rounds, Paloh is sure it will be exciting. According to him, right now the dynamics of the 2024 presidential election are already exciting.
He also confirmed that he was open to establishing communication with anyone regarding cooperation in the second round if AMIN passes. Paloh doesn’t mind talking to PDIP which supports Ganjar-Mahfud.
“Later we will see, there is no problem for NasDem. NasDem has the desire to keep political communication fluid with anyone. There is no problem for anyone,” he said.
