(sit) As in Augsburg (10:5), a strong first third by the Crash Eagles Kaarst was decisive for the 13:5 home win (6:1, 4:3, 3:1) in the neighborhood derby of the Skaterhockey Bundesliga over the German champions Crefelder SC. Tim Dohmen in particular was unstoppable. The striker created a reassuring lead with his hat-trick within eight minutes. More goals from Lennart Otten, Felix Wuschech and Jakob Matzken gave the home side a 6-1 lead after 20 minutes when Luca Hauf conceded.
In the second third, the Eagles shifted down a gear so that Luca Hauf, Dustin Diem and Niklas Kleindienst were able to do some cosmetic work for the Skatingbears. But that’s all, because Marcel Noebels, Tim Dohmen and Lennart Otten (2) netted for the Eagles to make it 10:4. In the rather tired final section, the 200 spectators saw goals from Tim Dohmen, Moritz Otten and Lennart Otten for Kaarst and from Niklas Kleindienst for Krefeld.

The Eagles were also able to celebrate in the evening game of the second division against IHC Atting. Because the Lower Bavarians arrived too late at the Stadtparkhalle due to a traffic jam on the Autobahn, they had actually already lost according to the rules, but coach Domink Linde’s team really wanted to play. And although the Kaarsters were 1:4 behind by the 40th minute, they saved themselves ten seconds before the end with the goal to make it 5:5 in a penalty shootout. There goalkeeper veteran Philipp Inger was the match winner with three saves. Bennet Otten and David Dietrich put the lid on Kaarst’s 6: 5 success (1: 2, 0: 2, 4: 1).
