Annoying news for Real Sociedad: Real Madrid has decided to bring Martin Odegaard back to Madrid. The Norwegian would actually play for another year on a rental basis for the Basque club.
Report that AS in Brand. Real coach Zinedine Zidane has asked the club management for the return of Odegaard. Odegaard was let to Real Sociedad for two seasons last year, but it was agreed that Real could get him back at any time.
Odegaard now gets a new chance to prove himself at the club that brought him in at the age of fifteen. He is now 21, but there has not been a breakthrough so far. Zidane is impressed by what Odegaard has shown at Real Sociedad last season and is willing to give him another chance.
Odegaard was leased by Real Madrid to Vitesse and sc Heerenveen. Reportedly Ajax was also interested, but Real Sociedad won the battle.
