RB Leipzig suffered damage on Wednesday in the Bundesliga. The number three had to settle for 10-2 at home with a 2-2 draw against Hertha BSC, which saw the goalkeeper still make a colossal blunder.
Leipzig was already 0-1 behind in the ninth minute by a goal by Marko Grujic (tighter from corner), but then tied the score fifteen minutes later thanks to a goal by Lukas Klostermann, who hit from a corner.
The home club had to go further in the 63rd minute with a man less after a red card (twice yellow) for Marcel Halstenberg, but seemed to take the victory five minutes later because it became 2-1 from scratch.
Hertha’s goalkeeper, Rune Almenning Jarstein, was allowed to charge for that. He initially returned the shot from Patrik Schick, but then inexplicably hit the ball into his own goal.
Leipzig failed to hold onto the lead. 82 minutes into the match, Adelomola Lookman committed a stupid foul after which Krzysztof Piatek scored from a penalty. Javairô Dilrosun had just come in on behalf of Hertha.
Bayern therefore became the big winner of this round. The leader won the top game on Tuesday at Borussia Dortmund (0-1) and has six duels before the end, seven points ahead of Dortmund and nine points over Leipzig.
