Ratchet & Clank turns 20, five games from the series to PS Plus Premium – Gaming – News

Sony carries on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary
of the Ratchet & Clank series five games from the series to PS Plus Premium. Customers will be able to stream the five games with the most expensive PS Plus subscription to their Playstation 4 and 5 from November 15.

These are the first five great console games from Ratchet & Clank released for the PlayStation 2 between 2002 and 2007, with the exception of the last of the five titles, Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. That game hit the market shortly after the PlayStation 3 came out for that console. All upcoming Ratchet & Clank games and titles already available on the service fall under the PlayStation 3 portion of PS Plus Premium. It concerns the following games:

• Ratchet and Clank (PS3)
• Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando (PS3)
• Ratchet & Clank: Your Arsenal (PS3)
• Ratchet & Clank: Deadlock (PS3)
• Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (PS3)

At the time of writing, Sony already offers five Ratchet & Clank games via the PS Plus Premium subscription, namely:

• Ratchet & Clank Future: In Search of Loot (PS3)
• Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time (PS3)
• Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One (PS3)
• Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault (PS3)
• Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus (PS3)

The Ratchet & Clank franchise was largely made by Insomniac Games and now consists of 17 games and an animated film. The games always revolve around the two titular characters in varying proportions. Ratchet is the main human cat-like character in nearly every game in the franchise, often assisted by his own support worker Clank, a little robot that got noticed in some spin-offs.

Although several different spin-offs have been released, the formula of Ratchet & Clank has always remained essentially the same: action-adventure with elements of puzzle, platformer, combat and shooter. Insomniac and its sporadic affiliated studios tell exuberant and different stories in every game in the franchise that, to a greater or lesser extent, always contribute to the continuing story of the two characters. The most recent title in the franchise was the Renowned Ratchet & Clank: Rift Aparta launch title for PlayStation 5 for which some free skins have now been released in honor of its 20th anniversary.
