Rapists in Bintaro Initially Intend to Steal from the Victim’s House, Have Conducted Surveillance

TANGERANG SELATAN, KOMPAS.com – The police said the rapist AF in the Bintaro area, South Tangerang had stalked the victim’s house the day before the incident to commit theft.

Kasatreskrim South Tangerang Police AKP Muharam Wibisono explained that initially the perpetrator with the initials RI (19) planned to steal the victim’s house.

“The initial plan was the initial intention to commit theft which (had been lurking) one day earlier, namely on August 12, 2019,” he said in a press conference on Monday (10/9/2020).

However, when launching the action on August 13, 2020, the perpetrator saw AF who was sleeping alone. At that time, the perpetrator immediately changed his mind and was provoked to rape AF.

According to Muharam, before venting his passion, RI hit the head of the victim who woke up from his sleep with an iron blade until he lost consciousness.

“It caused this victim to lose consciousness a little and it was when he lost consciousness that the perpetrator committed the sexual crime against the victim,” said Muharam.

As for now, RI has been arrested by the police after hiding itself for one year. He was caught at his home in Parigi area, Pondok Aren, South Tangerang.

RI was arrested by the police after the victim shared his sad story on social media and has become a hot topic of conversation in recent times.

As a result of his actions, the Republic of Indonesia was charged with Article 285 of the Criminal Code concerning rape and Article 365 of the Criminal Code concerning theft with violence with the threat of a sentence of up to 10 years in prison.
