The bar for punishability for involuntary sex is sometimes too high, according to Minister Ferd Grapperhaus (Justice). That is why he made a proposal to criminalize all sex against will. He proposes to include ‘sex against the will’ as a separate crime, but are you doing enough justice to the victims?
Cases like rape and sexual assault are of course punishable, but they are sometimes difficult to prove. And that’s awful for victims. As a solution to this, the minister now wants to include new sexual crimes in law. On Thursday it was announced that the Council for the Judiciary finds the current bill of the minister too vague.
