The first group is called upon to present themselves with good ideas to prevent infections in student houses. The best idea is rewarded with 10,000 euros. Migrant organizations are called upon to help make the corona measures clear to people who do not speak Dutch. The municipality wants to help with money for websites or printed matter, for example.
No more parties in the park or on the beach
The Kennemerland region (Zandvoort, Haarlem and environs) is also mainly focusing on more intensive cooperation with students, people in their twenties and migrant groups. In addition, more energy will be invested in combating illegal parties in recreational areas, and music performances and parties with amplified music will remain prohibited on the beaches of Bloemendaal and Zandvoort.
Amsterdam-Amstelland will now also close parks at night to prevent illegal parties, but it is still unclear exactly which locations are involved. It is also unclear how the municipality will close unfenced parks.
In the Haaglanden region, there will be checks at catering establishments, party halls, sports facilities and student societies. If the rules are broken after a warning, it will be closed for 2 weeks, then a month and then even three months. “We do not do this because we like it, but to ensure that the number of infections goes down”, says the mayor of The Hague, Van Zanen.
