Confusion at UEFA over the name of the European Championship

Confusion at UEFA.

Apparently, the naming of the European Championship postponed to 2021 seems to be unclear. First, UEFA announced on Friday that the tournament would continue to run under EURO 2020, but later the association withdrew its notification.

No decision has yet been taken, UEFA writes on Twitter, apologizing for the mistake.

The EM was postponed by a year due to the coronavirus pandemic and is now scheduled to take place from June 11 to July 11, 2021.

The venues are also said to remain the same, according to UEFA. The host cities for the EM were Munich, Rome, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Bilbao, St. Petersburg, Bucharest, Budapest, Baku, Glasgow, Dublin and London. UEFA says it should stick to the vision of a Europe-wide event.
