Crowds of people have flooded the closed Olympic gymnasium of Galatsi to watch the speech of Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama who is visiting Greece to reach out to fellow voters and friends of the party ahead of parliamentary elections in the neighboring country in 2025.

The security measures of EL.AS are draconian. As the Greek government has stated, this is a “private visit”, however, more than 1,000 police officers (MAT, EKAM, OPKE, DIAS, Security, Traffic) have been mobilized, with the number increasing or decreasing according to needs.
Earlier, a small tension was created outside the closed gym when a lady reacted to the presence of Edi Rama in Athens.
Also in the area of Galatsi there have appeared gangs of nationalists and far-right organizations that describe the prime minister of Albania as “undesirable” in our country.
