Thiruvananthapuram: Raju Narayana Swamy, who has been out of service for a long time, has been reinstated in the IAS. Appointed Principal Secretary, Department of Parliamentary Affairs.
Rajunarayana Swamy is a 1991 cadre IAS officer. The official goes on deputation to the Coconut Development Board while he is the Principal Secretary for Administrative Reforms. In March 2019, the central government removed Rajunarayana Swamy from the post of chairman of the Coconut Development Board. The Central Government had informed the State Government that the deputation period had expired and he had been released from service. But after 1 year, Rajunarayanaswamy was not ready to enter the state.
Rajunarayana Swamy had said that he would not return to the service as there was a case in the court and the administrative tribunal against the removal of the chairman of the Coconut Development Board. Returning to service because cases are over.
