On July 12, during the Los Angeles Lakers’ second practice in Orlando, the playmaker Rondo region suffered a broken right thumb and required surgery. His downtime is 6 to 8 weeks and the veteran should quickly return to the bubble according to his coach Frank Vogel.
“He’s on his way to Orlando tomorrow (Wednesday) and will spend some time outside of the bubble before he gets back into the bubble.” Vogel
He will therefore first continue his rehabilitation outside the bubble before observing a quarantine which should be 4 days. We do not know when he can return to give a hand on the floors, probably at the end of the first round of the playoffs or the second.
This season the playmaker is 7.1 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists in 48 games, most of them off the bench.
