Fedez will not be a guest in the new edition of «Belve». As anticipated by TvBlog, Rai did not give consent to her participation in Francesca Fagnani’s program. And it was the journalist herself, after the leaked indiscretions, who confirmed the veto, through her Instagram stories: «The only thing that matters now is that Federico is well. Just a clarification. As regards the news relating to Fedez’s participation in “Belve”, it is true that the Rai management did not consider it appropriate. I don’t agree with this decision nor has “Belve” ever taken anyone’s voice away. Maybe it won’t end like this,” Fagnani wrote.
Behind the decision there are therefore not the current health conditions of the singer and judge of “X Factor”, currently hospitalized following an internal haemorrhage caused by two anastomotic ulcers, but rather the stormy relations with Viale Mazzini. More precisely, the “niet” of the public service appears linked to the events of the Concert on May 1st 2021, when the rapper sued the then director of Rai3 Franco Di Mare who had accused him of having “manipulated” the recording of a phone callto claim that he had suffered an attempt by Rai to censor his speech against homophobia.
The Sanremo 2023 issue also probably weighs heavily behind Rai’s decision, in particular the Milanese singer’s freestyle against two exponents of Fratelli d’Italia (the undersecretary Galeazzo Bignami, of whom Fedez tore a photo in a Nazi outfit, and the minister of the Family, Eugenia Roccella, attacked on the abortion issue) in the second evening, a performance that forced the then director of prime time entertainment Stefano Coletta to dissociate himself on behalf of public television.
The indisposition of the last few days would therefore have “eliminated the problem” of the rapper’s possible guest appearance on the Rai2 programme, at least for the moment.
Fagnani’s invitation to Fedez arrived last February, when the rapper was busy with the Sanremo Festival. In that period, Muschio Selvaggio, the podcast of the singer and (ex) friend Luis Sal, content creator and YouTuber (who abandoned the project in March this year), had “moved” to the Riviera, where for the entire duration of the singing competition was broadcast at 6.45pm on Rai2 and from 7pm on RaiPlay. Among the guests who came to the studio there was also Francesca Fagnani. Fedez asked the journalist and presenter who she would like to interview. Fagnani replied: «You, but you didn’t really say no to me. You said to me: ‘Let’s see’.” «When you go to Belve – Fedez replied – you can’t come out well». Then a twist: Fedez had backtracked by agreeing to participate in the broadcast.

During the interview, the presenter Serena Bortone asked Roccella: “Is abortion part of women’s freedom?”. The answer: «Unfortunately yes, unfortunately yes, it’s not a good thing. And I didn’t consider it a good thing even when I was fighting for a law. 194 is a good law, a very balanced law. But women are not happy about having abortions.
