RMC Sport reveals how the three parties will share the payment of the 20.6 million euros of debt to Sporting

RMC Sport revealed details on the payment of Rafael Leão’s debt to Sporting, of 20.6 million euros (with interest), for which Lille was considered co-responsible.

According to the French broadcaster, Milan will end up paying the largest share of the payment, with Rafael Leão paying just one million.

Lille pays 19.6 million euros of the sanction imposed by the CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport) of Lausanne for the unilateral termination with the lions in 2018, but then Milan will reimburse the French in 18 million.

It was this understanding between the three parties that led to a positive outcome in Rafael Leão’s renewal with Milan. Milan and Lille have close ties and, in recent years, León for 28 million and Maignan for 15 have already gone to Italy.

It is recalled that the Portuguese striker will renew until 2028 and will earn seven million euros per season, in addition to receiving a signing bonus of a new contract of two million euros.

Despite the TAS sentence, it is recalled that Sporting appealed the decision and expects to receive the 45 million euros that was the termination clause of the bond with the club that the athlete broke in 2018, after the ultras invaded the Leonina Academy in Alcochete .
