According to data updated this morning in the Public Vaccination Monitor, in Argentina 40,021,069 people began their vaccination scheme. Of that total, 35,700,019 completed the vaccination process and 15,021,210 received a booster or third dose. To arrive at these percentages, the projection of the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec) is taken as a parameter, which estimates that in 2020 There were 45,376,763 people in the country, of which 43,118,564 were in a position to be vaccinated and 2,258,199 are under three years of age, so they should not receive any dose.

In this way, only 3,097,495 people in a position to be vaccinated did not start their scheme, which represents only 7.1% percent of the people in a position to be vaccinated. In addition, women are the ones who most agreed to be vaccinated and represent more than 52 percent.

When analyzing the provinces, a great difference can be seen between the first and the last in the ranking, which exceeds 25%, since in Santiago del Estero 96% of the population began the vaccination scheme, while in Misiones only 70% did. The gap of 20 points or more remains if people who received two or three doses are analyzed.

What’s more, provinces began to implement strategies to decentralize vaccination sites and reach the fragment population that is willing to receive a dose but could not yet.
