Ingredients

Ron White (in this case Ron Bacardi) – 5 centilitres.

Juice of one lime (you can also use a lemon)

White sugar – three tablespoons.

Strawberries natural – to taste.

Ice.

Recipe

To follow the recipe we need blender or in your case a mixer/crusher that can crush ice.

The process is very simple:

  • Add the ingredients to the bowl of the blender: the 5 centilitres of white rum, we have gone to the lime or lemon, add the three tablespoons of sugar and all the strawberries you want (Rachel added 4).
  • Beat all of the ingredients until you have a homogenous liquid.
  • Add the ice and we’re back to the grind.
  • Pour the cocktail in a cup high and decorate with a strawberry.
  • itEnjoy it!

Origin of the Daiquiri

Today there are thousands of versions of this cocktail, but the original is prepared with white rum, sugar and lime only. The Daiquiri it has its origins in Santiago de Cubawhere there used to be an iron mine in which he worked an american engineer, Jennings Cox. When I had just the gin, the rum was the drink that was easily in the area. The engineer Cox received visits from their country one day, and not found geneva. Used ron, adding a bit of lemon juice of the area and a little bit of sugar, so that the drink is not as strong. Liked both, followed by preparing and is known as ‘The Father Of The Daiquiri’.
