The family – or parts of it – have nevertheless been gathered a number of times since then, including at Prince Philips’ funeral in April last year – a month after the Oprah interview. Queen Elizabeth’s (96) husband of over 70 years turned 99 years old.
Duchess Meghan was not present at the funeral, as she was seven months pregnant in her second pregnancy.
Now, however, an author claims that the British monarch should have been happy not to have Meghan around him during the sad April days, according to Sky News.

Among other things, it appears that Queen Elizabeth must have been very relieved, after it became known that Duchess Meghan would not attend the funeral.
The 96-year-old is said to have made the comment in Windsor Castle, just shortly before she left for the chapel where her husband was buried.
