QuakeCon kicks off as an online event on August 19 – Gaming – News

Bethesda confirms that QuakeCon will once again be held as an online event this year. The 2021 edition of this convention starts on August 19 and ends on August 21. Several live streams will be held during the event.

Bethesda signs up a blog post that livestreams will include “updates on existing and upcoming games,” as well as “tournaments, puppies and giveaways.” Bethesda also holds fundraisers for various charities. The company says it also brings the ‘virtual’ BYOC‘-lan-party back via Twitch Teams. The first livestream starts on August 19 at 20:00 Dutch time.

The full program of QuakeCon 2021 will be shared in the coming weeks. It is therefore not yet known which games will be shown during the event, although the Bethesda blog post refers to Doom Eternal and Deathloop, among others. Last year, Bethesda showed, among other things, the first images of the first Doom Eternal single player DLC at QuakeCon.
