Qerko tastes not only pub-like. Interest in it is growing, it also brings higher tips

It saves time and brings more sales. At the same time, it is just a small sign stuck on the table. The Qerko application already has over one hundred thousand users, it has grown by a quarter in the last two months alone. And interest in it is growing not only among customers, but also among companies.

“It saves us an incredible amount of time when paying, which was understood very quickly by the staff, and sometimes they recommend the application to their guests not to have to wait when paying. The tip is also higher, up to ten percent than when paying through the terminal, “says František Novák, the operational manager of the Malešická tvrz restaurant.

Thanks to Qerk, according to him, he will save sixty-five hours of operating time per month in the company and turn seventy-eight tables more. As a result, sales are also higher – by almost ten thousand crowns.

The application is used mainly by people at lunch time, when restaurants are fuller and waiting for service is thus prolonged. Thanks to Qerk, they also earn forty-one thousand more a month in the Waltrovka pub in Prague’s Turnovská pivnica. And there is interest outside the capital.

Brno’s Tusto has already launched a loyalty program and related rewards for its customers who use the application. For example, they can get coffee for every fifth visit, and a twenty percent discount for the fifteenth. “We set everything in the application according to our preferences,” says Martin Kružík from the Tusto Titanium restaurant.

How does Qerko work? With the help of QR codes, which are directly on the table, guests can pay their expenses at any time. The application is connected to the cash register system, so customers and staff can immediately see all items and payments of the table.

“I simply scan the code, see the receipt, click and pay. And if I had to have lunch with colleagues and we would like to split the account, the possibility is also there, “praises Jan Zemánek, co-owner of the investment company Miton, which has a share of more than 60% in the startup Qerko.

“The app is now experiencing a decent boom. We constantly try to motivate the owner, the operator and the service staff of the restaurant to recommend it, “summarizes one of the company’s founders, Lukáš Kovač (in the introductory photo in the middle), who now holds twelve percent of it.
