Doha: Ihtiras, the Covid state request in Qatar, has been decided to be removed everywhere except in health centers. From 1 November, the green status in IHTiras will only be considered for admissions to health centers.
The decision was made on Wednesday at a cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani. As the country prepares to welcome the World Cup, it was decided to allow more relaxation in the application of the Covid status.
At last week’s cabinet meeting, the use of face masks in public transportation systems, including subways and buses, was also relaxed.
