The book “In the Game” by Małgorzata Domagalik about Jerzy Brzęczek still arouses great emotions. A journalist in “Kanał Sportowy” clashed with Krzysztof Stanowski.
The host of the “Hejt Park” program was Tomasz Smokowski. Stanowski called the studio because – as he said – he felt called to the blackboard. The journalist explained why in the past he praised Jakub Błaszczykowski’s biography, which was also written by Domagalik.
– The book “Cuba” was carried by a terribly strong story, and the book “In the Game” has no story in it. He has a terribly shallow hero. It is so fine that it is in the background in its own book. Because the main character is Małgorzata Domagalik. There is no content, because the only content is the fight against the fans. This is a book written against the fans. He is to hammer them in their heads with a heavy hammer that they are idiots because they do not see Brzęczek’s coaching genius – said Stanowski.
Domagalik referred to his words. In her opinion, a journalist reviewing a book exceeded the limits many times. A rather nervous exchange of views began.
– As you say: “You may consider me a lame, but Brzęczek never saw shit playing abroad”. You are such a mega-intelligent person, but you use it in the worst way. I wouldn’t dare to say that someone saw shit; about someone who is the selector today. You have crossed the vapors of absurd and grotesque. You chose what you wanted Domagalik was nervous.
– If you really want, I can make ten more episodes. I can, but I don’t know if it will be good for you – Stanowski retorted.
– Let’s not scare ourselves. Yes, you can read any book the way you did Domagalik retorted.
Stanowski believes that Domagalik formulated quite bizarre advice to Brzęczek.
– The lady urges him two or three times to boast to the players that he was on the same pitch with Guardiola and Luis Enrique and that he met Joachim Loew and Stanisław Czerczesow. This is nonsense! Arkadiusz Milik had hundreds of such meetings, not one. Jerzy Brzęczek played on the periphery of European football. I have the impression that you are so stunned by his career that you think this is something significant – Stanowski attacked.
– Not everyone is as broad-eyed journalist as you are. The fan likes stories, but not about how much who earns and what drove him. For every fan, the fact that the selectors of Poland, Spain, Russia and Germany will meet at one EURO, who played together, is history, it is something to be told. It is the description of this man Domagalik defended himself.
At the end of the interview, the journalist quoted Stanowski about his opinion on Lewandowski. Seven years ago, a journalist said that the current Bayern striker “will not jump higher”. Stanowski, however, disregarded this hint. He returned to his opinion on Brzęczek’s biography.
– If at any time the dictionary says what “disservice” means, it will be a link to this book. This is the essence of what Mrs. Brzęczek did. This book should be called “Dear Favors” – Stanowski finished.
