For’Epiphany, a baker and a jeweler carried out a joint operation. The jeweler has made several beans in solid gold. The baker hid one, every week, during the sales period of king cakes in his bakery, at Chamalières (Puy de Dome).
The bean used is an 18-karat solid gold jewel in the shape of a crown and valued at € 500, reports LCI , this Tuesday, January 19.
A crown set with diamonds, sapphires and rubies next year
According to information from the chain, the galette is sold at approximately the same price as in other bakeries.
The two traders want to go further next year. The crown should be encrusted with rubies, sapphires and diamonds.
In Brittany, a baker from Janzé had already hidden 10 gram gold bar beans, valued at € 388, in 2019. In 2013, a Pays de la Loire bakery also won two Vendée hearts in gold.
