According to Ukrainian and international investigations, war crimes have been committed in the Ukrainian territories occupied by Russian troops. Moscow denies the atrocities against the civilian population.

Mass graves have also been found in other areas formerly occupied by Russian troops, including some with signs of torture on civilian victims.
