Fraud in 24 cases and various violations of the Animal Health Act, the Medicines Act and the Animal Welfare Act: the list of offenses that a young couple from the Freiburg area is said to have committed is long. The couple are suspected of illegally importing French bulldog puppies and selling them for up to €3,000 each. According to a press release, the police are assuming revenue “in the mid five-digit range”.
The BZ became aware of the topic at the beginning of the week through a reader who wanted to remain anonymous. Last summer, the 43-year-old from Emmendingerin bought a French bulldog from the couple for 1,600 euros. The …
