Puglia Region, in the Emiliano junta there is also a defendant: controversy over the next government team

If and it were to be established who won and who lost in this long contest to join the council, in fact, the Democratic Party, which has just three councilors, and the city of Bari certainly lose. The regional capital, decisive for the victory of Emiliano, does not have a single exponent from the city. So the men and women close to the mayor lose out Antonio Decaro and to the regional secretary of the Democratic Party, Marco Lacarra.

It is no coincidence that the latter comments on the news of the council with a concise communiqué, while keeping to specify that he has not decided anything on the appointments and that “the president has made his assessments”. Same goes for the Bat, which does not have a single exponent in addition despite the role of the Bisceglie Francesco Boccia, Minister for Regional Affairs, during the election campaign.

Brindisi also remains dry, while Foggia and Taranto have only one representative each, respectively Piemontese and Pentassuglia (the latter, speaking of legal issues, is still involved in the Ambiente Svenduto trial on Ilva di Taranto).

Choices that are already causing severe stomach ache in the Democratic Party. In the list of losers there are also women’s associations, which see the promise of a council composed of 50 percent of women vanish. Instead, the civic lists win. Not all, but only Con and Popular, the list of Massimo Cassano who places two councilors. Civic Sense of Civic Article One, which remained outside the regional council, protests. For the national coordinator of Article One, Arturo Scotto, “Emiliano assumes the responsibility of excluding an important piece of the Apulian left”. The short reply comes with a note signed by Giovanni Procacci, Emiliano’s political advisor: “Civic sense does not coincide at all with Mr Scotto’s list, but is partly made up of Article One candidates”.
