PSV only misses suspended Sangaré against AS Monaco
sport">PSV coach Roger Schmidt has almost his entire selection at his disposal on Thursday in the home match against AS Monaco in the Europa League. The German has to do without Ibrahim Sangaré, who is sitting out a match suspension.
sport">The previous times that Sangaré was missing, Schmidt often chose to move defender Olivier Boscagli to midfield. Armando Obispo then replaces Boscagli in the center of the defense alongside André Ramalho. Another option for PSV is to start with Davy Pröpper.
sport">Schmidt did not want to reveal on Wednesday which choice he will make. “Transfer Boscagli is an option, but we have several options,” said the coach, who believes that PSV should not dwell too long on the absence of Sangaré. “We also played a good game without him against Real Sociedad, but he is a key player for us.”
sport">Boscagli himself doesn’t really care where he comes to play, he said. “I’m used to it now. At first, the switch from defense to midfield was a bit more difficult. Now that’s fine with me. I was born in Monaco myself. I think it’s great to be able to play against that club now.”
