Paris Saint-Germain couldn’t possibly sign Robert Lewandowski, right?
Well, believe it or not, the French champions are one of the teams reportedly looking to capitalize on Lewandowski’s desire to end his Bayern Munich career after eight seasons at Bayern.
BBC seaThe 33-year-old made it clear in Poland: “One thing is certain today, my story with Bayern is over.
“After everything that has happened in the last few months, I can’t imagine further good cooperation. It is clear to me that a transfer is the best solution for both sides.”
Lewandowski on PSG… surely not?!
Throughout this transfer story, Barcelona have been the club most associated with the Polish striker, which would be a real statement of intent for Xavi’s turn at the Camp Nou.
And always respected Fabrizio Romano already confirmed in mid-May that Lewandowski’s priority was to sign for the Blaugrana with a three-year deal reportedly on the table.
In the same breath, however, Romano also clarified that PSG, along with Chelsea, have been interested in the Bayern star since last summer, although he is already embarrassed in forward positions.
Throw in the fact that even great French publication L’Equipe reported this month that PSG are targeting the former Borussia Dortmund striker and the situation only gets more confusing.
And, remarkably, the chatter surrounding a possible PSG move for Lewandowski has only intensified in recent days, despite – at first glance – it appearing to be the craziest transfer imaginable.
Laut The SunFoot Mercato report that Barcelona have to change their squad due to financial reasons and PSG have left the door open.
And the whole situation was only given additional credibility Christian Falk, who confirmed Twitter this week that PSG and Barcelona were ahead of Chelsea in the race for Lewandowski.

Now there’s a big gap between all the transfer murmurs and Lewandowski’s actual move to Parc des Princes, but we certainly can’t be alone in playing the thought experiment of what such a crazy transfer would actually look like.
The idea of Lewandowski, Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar sharing a dressing room is stunning in itself, not to mention PSG’s squad strength in other positions.
So forgive us for thinking that Lewandowski’s move to PSG is probably still very unlikely, but let’s have fun for a moment and see what the Paris squad would look like if it really happened:

Carnage if it really happens
While there is no guarantee that an outrageous team will succeed on paper, PSG would still have what is arguably the wildest squad ever if they caught Lewandowski.
Boasting the top two winners of the 2021 Ballon d’Or with Mbappe and Neymar is just chilling, let alone the likes of Achraf Hakimi, Gianluigi Donnarumma and Sergio Ramos.
And while there will no doubt be some of the players in our squad depth chart set to leave this summer, regardless of whether Lewandowski signs or not, that still hardly puts a damper on PSG’s seemingly unlimited resources.
If it is indeed Christophe Galtier who takes over from Mauricio Pochettino this summer, he may have the biggest tactical headache a coach has ever suffered.
Football should probably pray for Lewandowski to go somewhere other than PSG this summer. It’s not going to happen… is it? Is it????
