The accident that dropped the ball

The car accident that shocked the sports world took place in the early hours of December 30, 2022. Rishabh Pant was returning from Delhi by car to his home in Roorkee for the New Year celebration. The car overturned and burst into flames after hitting a divider at Narsan in Haridwar district, 90 km from Dehradun. The actor miraculously survived the accident. But there were big burns and cuts on the body.

Panth was rescued by the staff of the bus who was passing by at the time of the accident and took him to the hospital. After initial treatment at a nearby hospital, he was shifted to Max Hospital in Dehradun. Expert treatment including plastic surgery was provided here. Later he was brought to Mumbai for further treatment. He was airlifted from Dehradun hospital to Mumbai.

Earlier, the actor had shared a video of him walking through the swimming pool on his social media accounts. The post read, ‘Thank you for everything big and small and everything in between.’ BCCI shared the video with the note that the champion may have more strength.

The actor had previously shared a photo of himself walking out after the car accident. After the surgery, the picture was posted of him walking with the help of a walking stick. Pant shared the pictures with the caption, One step forward, strong, healed.

Pant had earlier thanked all those who supported and prayed after the accident. BCCI, Board Jai Shah and government sources were also thanked by name. ‘I am humbled and indebted to all the support and well wishes. I am happy to inform you that my surgery was a success.
