Microsoft’s next-gen unveiling event last week left numerous disappointed gaming fans hoping to get a first look at real next-gen gameplay. However, there was no groundbreaking next-gen experience.
However, Geoff Keighley, the producer and creator of The Game Awards, has hinted on Twitter that real next-gen scenes are yet to be revealed. He did not give any details.
Next-gen graphics leap
But the short commentary on an IGN article apparently suggests to fans that the true next-gen jump will be seen later. Since Keighley is extremely well connected in the gaming industry, there is a possibility that he already speaks from his own experience.
Regarding an IGN article that said the PS5 and Xbox Series X are unlikely to offer an overly obvious graphic leap over its predecessor PS4 and Xbox One, Keighley only said that this article may not be very good will age. He apparently suggests that the article will soon look very old and the claims are incorrect.
Since Geoff Keighley is currently organizing the Summer Game Fest online event with publishers to compensate for canceled game fairs, he knows that the real next-gen unveiling will open some eyes in the coming weeks and months.
